Before Your Visit

A few simple things can help you feel comfortable:

  • Eat lightly → It’s best to have some food in your system beforehand. Even a few bites is better than nothing.

  • Clothing → You’ll have privacy to undress down to (bra and) underwear and rest under a sheet and blanket, similar to a massage. If you’d prefer to stay clothed, wear something loose and easy to roll up or pull down so I can reach points on chest, back, upper arms and upper legs. I also keep extra sheets and drapes on hand so you’ll always feel covered and at ease.

  • Does it hurt?
→ Most people feel little to no discomfort. When qi is stuck and the needle creates energetic space people will feel a quick pinch, or a warm/tingly sensation that fades quickly.

  • Will I bleed or bruise?
→ Very occasionally there may be a tiny drop of blood or a small bruise, but it’s rare and harmless.

  • Is it safe?
→ Yes — I use sterile, single-use needles and follow the highest safety standards laid out by the national governing body.

  • What will I feel during treatment?
→ Many people feel deeply relaxed, sometimes even drifting into sleep. Some notice gentle sensations like warmth, heaviness, or tingling as the energy shifts.

  • What will I feel after treatment?
→ You may feel rested, lighter, or more energized. Sometimes there’s a day or two of adjustment as your body rebalances — this is normal.

  • Can I drive/work/exercise afterward?
→ Yes, most people go about their day as usual. You may want to give yourself some space afterward to notice the effects, as qi takes 24 hours to circulate.

  • Questions Welcome → If you’re ever unsure, just ask. I’ll guide you through what to expect.
